Notes from My Botanical Field Journal

Over the past year, I've been studying, testing, and composing with individual botanicals as I've developed the Tendril & Thistle fragrance collection.

What began as personal notes gradually became my Botanical Field Journal.  It's a place to record not only the identity of each botanical, but also what I've discovered through observation, experimentation, and composition.

Each study reflects what I've learned through studying, experimenting, and composing with botanicals. Each study reflects what I've learned through studying, experimenting, and composing with botanicals. My hope is simply to share those observations and encourage a little more curiosity about the remarkable botanicals that make up the fragrances I compose.

I hope you'll enjoy exploring them.

Below you'll find the botanical studies I've shared so far. I'll add a new one each Friday.

The botanical that taught me fragrance isn't always about what stands out first.
