Every creative journey begins somewhere.

For me, it began with paying attention. Paying attention to how light changes a room. How natural materials shape an atmosphere. How botanical fragrance can become part of the rhythms that carry us through an ordinary day.

Tendril & Thistle grew from those observations.

My Story

Long before Tendril & Thistle, I spent years restoring furniture, gathering vintage pieces, and teaching others to create homes they loved.

What I didn't realize at the time was that I wasn't simply restoring furniture. I was learning how thoughtfully chosen elements influence the way a space feels.

My love of restoration began beside my grandmother. She taught me to notice what others overlooked and to value things made with care.

That understanding eventually led me here.

Today, my work centers on botanical fragrance, mixed-media art, and thoughtfully designed objects that accompany everyday life.

Although my work has changed over the years, that way of seeing remains at the heart of everything I create.

Why Botanical Fragrance?

Every botanical has its own character.

When I compose a fragrance, I don't think about individual notes, I think about conversation.

Bright citrus may begin the conversation. Warm woods create foundation. Aromatic herbs offer clarity. Together they become a composition designed to accompany a particular rhythm of the day.

That way of composing has become the heart of Tendril & Thistle.

The Invitations

Rather than organizing fragrances by floral, citrus, or woody families, I organize them around the rhythms we all experience throughout the day.

These are not categories. They are invitations.

Beyond Fragrance

My botanical field journal, illustrations, mixed-media artwork, and other studio work all grow from the same place. They are simply different expressions of the same way of seeing.
